President
Tom became the President of IntelliGuard in August of 2023 after joining IntelliGuard in December of 2022 as Chief Revenue Officer. Tom is committed to changing the way IntelliGuard engages with its customers and has set goals to grow the company’s new commercial model to drive revenue and increase market share. He is focused on building strong relationships and creating solutions that provide the best value and ultimately improve patient safety.
Tom brings over 35 years of experience with start-up and Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare and medical device industries. Prior to joining IntelliGuard, he spent a total of 9.5 years at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) in sales and business development roles, with the last 6 years serving as Vice President of Sales for Europe and North America.
Tom was the VP of Sales at Safety Syringes, Inc. IntelliGuard® was originally established as a division of Safety Syringes Inc., which was acquired by BD. He also served as Director of National Accounts and Director of Sales at LMA North America, a medical device company that introduced new airway technology into the anesthesia market.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Hope College, Holland, Michigan.
